Bangkok-Pattaya Trip Day 3 Part 1: Gems Jewelry, Nongnooch Village, Laser Buddha Mountain

     Hello everybody ^^
I got a new laptop so i'm back to post my Bangkok-Pattaya trip. Maybe i will do a simple review about my new laptop next time. keke so keep reading guys :):)

Today we will go to Pattaya so we pack our stuff and only bring few things (to wear at Pattaya) because yesterday we will come back to the same hotel in Bangkok. I'm so excited because they say Pattaya is a famous destination for tourist near Bangkok. We depart from Bangkok at 9 AM and arrive at Pattaya at 11 AM. Actually it only takes 1,5 hours but we stopped at the rest area.
We went straight to Gems Jewelry, it's a place where you can see how to make jewelry and there's gallery at the end of the tour (so you can buy the jewelry).
So we take a wheeled bogey ride into a man-made tunnel and witness a spectacular show in light and sound presentation of the glittering world of gems. It is dubbed “Theme Park – Dark Ride”, the first of its kind in Asia that is controlled by a fully computerized system. The show features the bursting of a volcano into lava that explained the origin of the gems until crystallized and becomes mineral rocks, among other interesting stops that ended at the glittering finished products of the cut precious stones.
Sorry, can't take photo inside the gallery.

After that we went to Nongnooch Village, a very big garden with lots of plants and you can see thai's attraction and shows.

We came here to have lunch, watch the thai cultural show and elephant show. I think the elephant show is very attractive than the thai cultural show. It's more funny and entertaining.

 muay thai

 thai's culture show

The thai's cultural show re-enactment of Thai's history and culture about the kingdom of the past and invading battles of other nations.
When i'm watching it the show is actually good, but the audience keep walking so it's annoying. (the audience who's late and couldn't sit because the venue's full, so they kept walking and disturb another audience)

 the elephants

riding a bicycle. so cute isn't it?

The elephants show is very attractive. We can take picture with the elephant (i'm so scared) and feed the with bananas. The elephants are clever and talented. I really enjoyed watching them (although it's very hot and i couldn't sit because the venue is already full). They can riding a bicycle, painting, bowling, basketball, even shooting an arrow.

Our next stop is Laser Buddha Mountain, not very far from the Nong Nooch Village.

 it's a real gold!

Laser Buddha Mountain is one of the largest Buddha images in the world. One of Pattaya's most noticeable landmarks is the 130 meters high Buddha Mountain. A huge golden Buddha image is set on the mountain, which is also called Khao Cheejan that can be seen from miles away.
The Buddha image that is officially called Phra Phuttha Maha Wachira Uttamopat Satsada was created in 1996 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej's accession the the throne.
During the Vietnam Wat the Thai Army used Khao Cheejan mountain for its mining efforts. The stones were used at U-Tapao airport, which was at the time an American army base. After the war mining continued for construction purposes until 1976.
The Buddha image was carved out of the cliff using laser technology. After that, it was inlaid with gold leaf, a process that took months to complete. The impressive Sukhothai era Buddha image is 130 meters high and 70 meters wide, making it one of the biggest Buddha images in the world.

   Hello everybody ^^
It's been a long time since my latest post because i'm very busy lately hehe
A couple weeks ago, i have an interview at a very good hotel in Jakarta (Grand Hyatt) so i'm very nervous. Are they gonna accept me as a trainee or not. Because i don't have work experience at a hotel. But last friday, my friend told me that i'm accepted as a trainee at Grand Hyatt Jakarta. I'm very happy like i will fly to the sky. Not only accepted at a good hotel (which is a big opportunity for me in the future), but also i will work at pastry department :)
